What can our members expect from a working relationship with you?
As a a coach, I believe you have all you need to find solutions and growth, and I believe that every person has their spark that will light up the world. In working together, my job is to partner with you to uncover those solutions and sparks to help you gain clarity and any upskilling that could catalyze what's next for you. We work in partnership to define your goals and why they're important to you, and then we set off on an exploration that's aided by exercises and tools, questions and reflection. You synthesize your learning and next steps you want to take, and we check in with one another to support you in real-time application. Insofar as my style, previous clients have said: "Callan is a kind, openhearted listener, and a tactful, insightful coach. In a private coaching call, I was grateful that she called me out, but in a way that made me feel supported, seen, and capable of change. I would highly recommend Callan, and any of her workshops or coaching services, to any person, team, or organization who wants to ignite the spark of change for themselves." - KR, COO "Callan blends trustworthiness and a down-to-business sense that made every conversation feel purposeful but never rushed. She also poked at my own responses and answers to dig into things that I would not have thought critically about otherwise." -SA, Co-founder and CTO
Which of our leadership principles resonates with you most right now, and why?
Abundance: Especially in this moment, I am thinking creatively about collaboration and community in order to support all the parts of my life that are most important to me. I'm also trusting that there are creative solutions, connections, and opportunities to be tapped into, especially when we are in this transition between the way we used to do it and what's emerging.
Which of our leadership principles do you generally struggle with the most, and why?
Abundance: Funny, I know! I sometimes struggle with faith and trust that I can let go of control. I learned early and often the fear-based belief that you have to work hard and stay in control in order to be successful. Turns out, the most wonderful things in my life came through little control or forceful effort by me (my kids, my relationship with my husband, very wonderful job opportunities), so I cherish those moments to remember that I can loosen my grip... a bit.
Tell us about your experience with Tide Risers.
(I don't think you have time for the novel!) As a founding member, I found a supportive and interesting group of women who opened up perspectives for me, supported me, and became collaborators and colleagues. As a facilitator, I've been honored to help guide the learning and growth of more than two dozen women who have also inspired growth in me. I have seen so many sparks fanned into amazing flames- new jobs, new mindsets, new companies and more. As a leadership team member, I've learned so much from my generous and brilliant colleagues and found friendships of a lifetime. I am thrilled to partner with Tide Risers because I am the product of strong women, and I have seen what's possible when women come together in community as they are and lean into their ambitions with action. I know the world is going to change through this activation and amplification, and Tide Risers in particular has a magic to it that opens up wholly new relationships and possibilities.
Is there anything else our members should know about you?
I am so thrilled you're here and would love to get to support you in any way I can!
