Let's Talk About Grief

We are all experiencing losses right now. The loss of experiences, loss of jobs, the loss of celebrations, and unfortunately the loss of lives. Grief is the natural response to loss, yet it's something that most people feel uncomfortable talking about. In this session, we'll discuss the language of grief, ways to support those who are grieving, and how together we can de-stigmatize the topic of death.

About Sara

Sara Deren, Chief Experience Officer / Experience Camps, Tide Risers Fairfield County Member, 2020.

Sara Deren is the founder and Chief Experience Officer of Experience Camps, a non-profit organization that provides free, one-week summer camp programs to grieving children. Sara received her MBA from Columbia University and spent 12 years in the financial services industry before turning her full attention to camp. She now uses her business background and love of camp to ensure that grieving children are given an opportunity to live a life rich with possibility.
